Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which product will best suit my application?

The logos that you will find with our products will help you to select the right one for you application.

Has BS5709 been revised?

The BS has been recently revised. There are no significant changes but some aspects have been clarified and there is a stronger emphasis on safety. The principle of providing the least restrictive option is still at the heart of the BS and providers are required to assess the extent of any restriction caused by users by the provision of a gate, kissing gate or stile on a public path or right of way. The BS provides a definitive national standard and is being adopted by an increasing number of councils. Centrewire meets all the requirements of BS5709.
